Safer browsing and contact
Online listings should be approached carefully. A polished page, photograph or verification label cannot replace your own checks and judgement.
Before making contact
- Read the complete listing and look for inconsistent names, locations or prices.
- Confirm current details through the contact method shown on the profile.
- Do not share passwords, one-time codes, banking credentials or unnecessary identity documents.
- Be cautious when someone creates urgency or refuses reasonable questions.
Payments and impersonation
Unexpected deposits, gift cards, cryptocurrency demands and requests to pay an unrelated person are common warning signs. Stop if the identity or purpose of a payment is unclear.
Personal safety
Tell a trusted person where you are going, arrange your own transport, keep control of your phone and leave any situation that feels unsafe. Consent must be clear, voluntary and capable of being withdrawn.
Report a concern
Use the report option on the relevant profile when possible. Include the page address and a factual explanation, but do not publish private information in the report.
